Toronto, ON – August 28, 2020 – Following the release of singles, Victory, I Go To My Heart, and Back Into The Light, the eagerly-awaited third installment of The Avett Brothers’ ongoing Gleam series is available now on CD and digitally via American Recordings/Loma Vista Recordings, with vinyl available September 18. Stripped-back and returning to the band’s roots, The Third Gleam offers a glimmer of hope in a time of uncertainty, and it has been featured on New Music Friday by NPR’s All Songs Considered. Paste highlighted the album as one of The 10 Albums We’re Most Excited About in August, and they observed, on The Third Gleam, The Avett Brothers take a step back from all that gloss and shine and just focus on the songwriting, the harmonies and the dynamic between three musicians in a room. Hearing The Third Gleam is like stepping into a sunny, peaceful clearing after hours of running through the woods.” Listen to and purchase The Third Gleam here.

Earlier this week, The Avett Brothers counted down to the release of The Third Gleam with their television debut of lead single, Victory, on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and a Billboard Live At-Home Performance, during which they premiered Prisoner To Heaven. The band also offered another taste of The Third Gleam with live footage of fan-favorite, Untitled #4, from The Avett Brothers At Red Rocks concert special, premiering on PBS tomorrow. PBS stations carrying the special can be seen here, and broadcasts will continue through mid-September. Fans who do not see their local station(s) listed can contact them directly to request that they add The Avett Brothers At Red Rocks to their schedule.

The celebration continues tomorrow with a sold-out, socially-distanced drive-in concert at the legendary Charlotte Motor Speedway. The Avett Brothers’ first live show in six months – and their first playing music from The Third Gleam – will be available for fans around the world to livestream as a Pay-Per-View event in partnership with nugs.net, and can be accessed on-demand for up to 48 hours following the concert. For more information and to purchase the livestream, visit avettbrothersdrivein.com.

Coinciding with the release of The Third Gleam, the band’s 2017 documentary, May It Last: A Portrait of The Avett Brothers, is available today on HBO and HBO Max. Co-directed by Judd Apatow and Michael Bonfiglio, the documentary follows The Avett Brothers through the process of writing their critically-acclaimed 2016 album, True Sadness. The album debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Album Sales chart, #1 on Billboard’s Top Rock Albums chart, and #3 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, and it earned the band their second GRAMMY nomination for Best Americana Album.
