A highlight annual event, we have proudly worked to bring national media attention to BreakOut West's music festival, industry conference, and the Western Canadian Music Awards.

Working with Cadence Weapon since 2017, Indoor Recess has delighted in watching him shine, through the release of his 2018 self-titled album and 2021 Polaris Music Prize-winning record, Parallel World; the album’s deluxe re-issue, and the launch of his memoir, Bedroom Rapper. Always a media favourite, he has received critical acclaim for his own work, while also being frequently asked to add his voice to features on various topics, and guest host on programs such as The Social and CBC Q.

We have passionately worked alongside Haviah Mighty across the release of her three ground-breaking albums: 13th Floor (2019), Stock Exchange (2021), and Crying Crystals (2023). The records earned Haviah widespread acclaim from the likes of CBC Music, Exclaim!, The Star, and Complex; covers of Canadian Musician and NEXT Magazine; numerous national TV and radio appearances; and history-making wins of the Polaris Music Prize and Rap Album of the Year JUNO Award.

Indoor Recess has had the pleasure of working with multi-award-winning pianist, vocalist and songwriter, Laila Biali, since the 2015 release of her album, House Of Many Rooms. Her self-titled record followed in 2018 with Exclaim! calling it a "presentation of someone accomplished and brave", and earned Laila her first ever JUNO Award win. Critical praise continued to follow for Out Of Dust (2020), and Laila's stunning return to the Great American Songbook, Your Requests (2023).

Right from the jump when S.O.B. took the nation by storm, Nathaniel Rateliff has been a beloved act on the Indoor Recess roster. After teaming up with the band for their three singles that dropped in 2022 - which landed on CBC Music's Top 20 (Grow Up Tomorrow), and saw the band hit the rollercoasters at Wonderland with eTalk - Indoor Recess is thrilled to be back in their corner for the fall release of their new album, Blame My Ex.
