SHARE BRAND NEW TRACK CARRY US
FEATURED ON FULL-LENGTH ALBUM TOWN
OUT FEBRAURY 15

“By combining energetic rhythms, lush melodies and passionate vocal harmonies, Long Range Hustle seems to find the perfect balance of sounds to formulate well-received alternative music.” – Quinte Arts Council

Toronto, ON – January 14, 2019 – With only one month left to go before the release of their brand new album, Town, Long Range Hustle are thrilled to share another new track from the record – Carry Us – and announce a national tour in support of the album. Kicking off on February 14th in Montreal, the tour will take the band across western Canada, then home to Ontario. The band will share the stage with a special tour-mate during the west coast shows, to be announced soon. Listen to Carry Us – which landed on Spotify’s New Music Friday Canada playlist last week  here and see below for full tour details.

“At some point, every good Canadian band decides that driving across Saskatchewan in February is a good idea,” laughs vocalist/guitarist/violinist, Paul Brogee. “When you conquer those wild open spaces, those big empty gaps inherent in every cross-Canada tour, it feels like you've gained admission to a secret club. You've completed a ritual of music that not everyone takes on. With the release of Town, we're pretty happy to be joining the club. Plus, our moms made us all get CAA.”

Brogee continues, “Carry Us is a song about road-tripping with your closest friends. It's about being all-at-once tired and happy and sick and overjoyed to see the sunrise because you've been driving for 24 straight hours – and given that we're about to trek across this country again, it feels fitting to put it out now.

The tour will give fans an opportunity to hear live renditions of some of the songs found on the band’s new full-length release, Town, which is set for release on February 15th. Recorded at The Bathouse Studio outside of Kingston, the band worked with acclaimed Scottish producer and mixer, Tony Doogan (Belle & Sebastian, Wintersleep, Snow Patrol), to create the new album, which brings about a refined and evolved sound for the group, reflective of their persistent drive to push themselves as songwriters and performers. Previously released album tracks, Morning Clover and Crush You have seen warm support from CBC Radio and campus stations across the country, while Crush You was featured on Spotify’s New Music Friday Canada, as well as the Rock Your Block and Renegade Folk playlists.

From a sweat soaked club to a breezy festival stage, Long Range Hustle brings the warm infectious melodies, driving rhythms, and gorgeous harmonies, in spades. A mix of high school and summer camp counsellor tenures brought the core of this southern Ontario five-piece together – Paul Brogee (vocals, guitar, violin), Jay Foster (vocals, piano), Mike Brogee (bass, vocals), and AJ Fisico (drums, vocals) with Ryan Pritchard (guitar) solidifying the line up in early 2017. Each of the five members come from diverse musical backgrounds, ranging from jazz to rock to classical, but all share a common love for songwriting and performing. Over the last few years, touring has taken them from the Maritimes to Manitoba, where they’ve shared stages with Arkells, The Glorious Sons, Matt Mays, and Big Wreck, and delighted hometown crowds with month-long residencies at Toronto’s Dakota Tavern.
