TOUR KICKS OFF OCTOBER 5 IN ABBOTSFORD, BC  

Toronto, ON – August 23, 2019 – Toronto alt-rock darlings, Birds of Bellwoods, made waves in 2018 with the release of their highly-anticipated debut LP, Victoria. After relentless touring across North America following the release, the band is thrilled to share their first taste of fresh music, with their new single, Easy, produced by Howie Beck (Feist, Barenaked Ladies, Charlotte Day Wilson) and Joel Stouffer (Dragonette, Bülow). “Easy is a diary of how far we’ve come and a recognition of how far there is left to go: a point of reflection on a never-ending journey. It’s bigger, bolder, and brighter than anything we’ve released so far, and we can’t wait to share it with our flock,” says the band.

Audiences across Canada will get the chance to hear Easy live, when the band hits the road with Rock The Rink – the brand new production from Canadian figure skating greats, Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir, Patrick Chan, Kaetlyn Osmond and Elvis Stojko, along with world-renowned international skating talent, Carolina Kostner, Jeremy Abbott, Tatiana Volosozhar and Maxim Trankov.  The tour – which follows last year’s sold out, Thank You Canada tour – will combine the highest level of on-ice superstar talent with an ever-evolving touring production, delivering the highest value of family entertainment.  Birds of Bellwoods will be joining all dates as a special musical opening act, and even appearing during the skaters performance for a few additional numbers.

Birds of Bellwoods have wasted little time making an indelible mark on Canada’s musical landscape, with much of the attention to come their way stemming from their highly energetic and engaging live performances.
