ANNOUNCES ITS LAUNCH

TORONTO, ON – July 14, 2023 – Today, music industry veteran, Gareth Jones, announces the launch of You Are Hear – a radio promotion, strategic management company based in Toronto, that will cater to domestic and international artists and labels.
 
Jones has been a staple in the Canadian music scene, as a leader in propelling emerging artists to national radio success as well as supporting established artists from here and abroad. He brings his 25 years of a proven track record to You Are Hear, a service company that will reflect his passion for illuminating great music.

You Are Hear's focus is the integral role of Canadian radio action in an artist’s career trajectory. Recognizing the complex path to success, You Are Hear engages with the full artist / project team right off the jump. The strategic management component they offer allows them to work with the team to define the longtail vision for a song or artist; A&R the music to define the singles and map out the precise timing for the rollout, not only to radio, but also DSPs. They then ignite, firing on all cylinders to deliver a full service regional and national radio campaign as part of the client’s global strategy. You Are Hear also offers DSP delivery and support, ensuring the very best environment for success. Joining Jones on his new venture, will be marketing and PR pro, Matthew Attfield, who will focus on cultivating radio, and targeted publicity services when requested.

Jones began his career at Toronto radio promotion company, DMD, starting indie electronic label, Upper Class Recordings, at the same time. He was brought on board with the BMG imprint Jive/Zomba’s team, working the label’s juggernaut clients to Western Canadian radio, before moving on to Sanctuary Records as their national radio rep. He stepped away from radio promotion to run Upper Class Recordings as an imprint on EMI full-time, signing several artists to international license deals. For the past decade, Jones has micro-focused on radio promotion, returning to DMD where he played a significant role in the success of countless international and Canadian artists, labels and management partners.
