45 DATE 2023/2024 NORTH AMERICAN+ EUROPEAN TOUR ALMOST ENTIRELY SOLD OUT

TORONTO, ON – November 17, 2023 – To say that 2023 has been the year of The Beaches would be an understatement. After trickling out earworm upon earworm through the summer - including the smash hit single, Blame Brett - the indie-rockers unleashed their sophomore record, Blame My Ex, to widespread critical and fan acclaim. They followed the release with a sold-out, 23-date North American tour, including two hometown Toronto shows at the iconic Massey Hall.

Now, The Beaches are thrilled to announce their biggest show yet - headlining Toronto's Budweiser Stage on August 22, 2024, with special guests Valley, New West and Dizzy. Tickets go on sale next Friday (November 24) at 10:00 a.m. ET. Sign up for pre-sale on August 21 here

"We are beyond excited to be headlining Budweiser Stage in the summer," exclaims guitarist, Kylie Miller. "Having grown up in Toronto, we’ve had so many incredible nights at Bud. Chugging guitar wines on the lawn, laughing, crying and dancing with friends - it is a venue that is so incredibly close to our hearts and is an absolute staple for Torontonians to visit. We’re thrilled to be playing alongside our friends, Valley, who we’ve grown up playing with. This feels like a legendary hometown show for us and we really can’t wait to experience it with you all."

Showing no signs of slowing down, the band kicked off the European leg of their Blame My Ex tour last night, with dates in Antwerp, Berlin and London having sold out within a matter of hours. Last week, it was announced that they will be performing at the 2024 JUNO Awards in Halifax, NS, and just days ago, The Beaches made a surprise guest appearance on stage with none-other but the Jonas Brothers, performing Blame Brett during the Bros' Vancouver stop at Rogers Arena.

With over 25 million streams and counting, Blame Brett is a certified smash hit, with the song quickly taking over the internet and radiowaves this year. The breakup anthem went viral, spending 15 weeks on TikToks Weekly Top Tracks and landing on Spotify's Daily Viral 100, while fellow musicians including Nelly Furtado and blink-182's Mark Hoppus were spotted jamming out to the song. Blame Brett was the longest running #1 single at Alternative radio in Canada for 2023, spending 16 weeks in the top spot, and has now officially been certified Gold in Canada. The Beaches also became full-blown cover stars, with Blame My Ex landing the band on numerous playlist covers, and gracing the front of RANGE, NEXT Magazine and BeatRoute's fall issues.

ABOUT THE BEACHES:
Captivating the indie-rock scene with rich 80s-tinted melodies and quick-witted lyrics, The Beaches have unleashed their neighbourhood namesake group onto the music world with Eliza Enman-McDaniel (on drums), Leandra Earl (on keys and guitar) and sisters Jordan and Kylie Miller (on lead vocals/bass and guitar, respectively). They’ve been named one of Canada’s greatest acts by Exclaim! Magazine, and the proof is in the plays with seven #1 singles on Canadian Alt Radio, including their latest hit, Blame Brett.

Known for their rousing live performances that summon their audience into a realm of intoxicating energy and an undeniable connection, The Beaches have opened for Avril Lavigne, The Rolling Stones, Foo Fighters, Alanis Morissette, The Aces, Passion Pit, and the Eagles of Death Metal. There is no denying their lure on the stage and in everyone’s playlists, including the great Elton John, who called their debut full-length album, Late Show, the  “best album of last year.”

Following their JUNO award-winning project, Sisters Not Twins (TheProfessional Lovers Album), The Beaches returned with their sophomore studio album, Blame My Ex, cracking their upbeat, brazen shell to reveal a more vulnerable inside.
