Toronto, ON – November 8, 2019 – JUNO Award-winning children’s music super-duo, Splash’N Boots, have been making a splash for the end of the year! After announcing the details of their brand new album, The Big Heart Journey – a collection of dynamic meditations with a ‘made-for-kids’ spin – the group is thrilled to share that they will be giving two special and intimate intergenerational performances at senior residences this November, followed soon after by their annual holiday tour.

The first of the two intergenerational performances will take place on November 23 at the Delmanor Prince Edward in Etobicoke and on November 24, Splash’N Boots will visit Shepherd Village in Scarborough. The duo has teamed up with Smile Theatre – an organization that exists to enrich the lives of seniors in care by presenting meaningful, well-crafted, professional performance – to bring together and connect children with the older generations through music. The shows will feature activities from The Big Heart Journey, as well as music from Splash’N Boots’ catalogue, and intergenerational songs.

“One of the things we love the most at our live shows is when the entire family is there,” says Nick Adams (Splash). “It’s so amazing to see generations enjoying live music together. Music has always been a huge part of both of our families, so we love to see people of all ages coming together.”

“My Grandpa lives in a home in Toronto and I love going and singing and playing piano with them there,” continues Taes Leavit (Boots).  “Music brings us all together, and our hope is that these shows will create a bigger sense of community for the families who attend, as well as the senior residents.  It’s a bit of an experiment - we’re really excited to try it out!”

Limited tickets will go on sale to the public November 12 here. All tickets will include a download of The Big Heart Journey and a meet and greet with Splash’N Boots after the performance.

Following the intergenerational shows, Splash’N Boots will embark on their third annual BIG yellow and blue holiday tour: Jingle Boots – The Big Heart Holiday Show! Kicking off in Peterborough on December 6, the duo will play seven shows across Ontario throughout the holidays, fostering new memories and happy moments with families within these communities. All tour details and ticketing info can be found below.

Splash’N Boots’ newest album, The Big Heart Journey, is set for release on November 22. Made up of 30 ‘Heart Hugs’ – guided, dynamic meditations with a ‘made-for-kids’ spin that encourages movement, dancing and fun energy – the album aims to help guide children in becoming more loving, more caring, and more in touch with their own emotions and those of the people they interact with. Each track will focus on daily life, with meditative programs that can be done sometimes alone, sometimes with other people, sometimes lying down and sometimes on your feet dancing! Families who purchase the album will also receive three bonus tracks of ‘Mini Journeys for Specific Life Moments’ – which will focus on precise life moments, to use when needed, including divorce and death. The Big Heart Journey can be pre-ordered here.
