SINGER/SONGWRITER CRAIG STICKLAND RELEASES FIRING LINE

LOST IN THE REWIND OUT ON JUNE 2
STICKLAND TO PLAY EP RELEASE SHOW
AT THE MINT IN LOS ANGELES ON MAY 31
TORONTO, ON – May 5, 2023 – Singer/songwriter, Craig Stickland, releases a second track from his forthcoming EP today. Firing Line, a sweeping, melancholy love song, is featured on the forthcoming 6-song EP, Lost in the Rewind, which will be released on June 2, via MNRK Music Group. To celebrate the release of Lost in the Rewind, Stickland will play an EP release show on May 31 at The Mint in Los Angeles, CA. Listen to Firing Line here and watch the visualizer here.
In addition to some new songs, Stickland sifted through tons of material going as far back as 15 years to ensure he was putting his best foot forward on the EP, and Firing Line is one of those tracks.
Stickland says, “I wrote Firing Line 15 years ago, the first time I thought I was in love. I was so invested in the relationship, but with every interaction, I felt her pulling away. In my gut, I knew she was going to break up with me long before she eventually did (to get back with her ex!). It’s written about the final moments of a relationship you don’t want to end, even though you can feel it coming. I’m excited to finally release this song so many years later.”
The gorgeously plaintive EP, Lost in the Rewind, "is really about finding myself again," says Stickland. When pandemic restrictions lifted and songwriting presented itself, “I really had to take a step back to find my love for myself and music again,” he says. “Lost in the Rewind is me trying to unpack why I did these things.” Stickland previously released the track, Colorblind, from the EP. Stickland previously released the three-song EP, While We Wait For the Sun to Rise, in 2021. His debut, the JUNO-nominated Starlit Afternoon, chronicled Stickland’s decade-long struggle to break through into music. The album garnered millions of streams on Spotify, with a pair of pristinely lovelorn tracks, the meditative title song and laid-back anthem, Break Every Rule, winning him a loyal following.
