Toronto, ON – February 15, 2023 – Montreal-based producer and composer, Aether, today unveiled the second single from his forthcoming EP, Moonstone, with the chill, downtempo track, Tourmaline, on Monstercat. Inspired by the way raw minerals form into polished gemstones, the new record sees Aether sample work from an original ambient composition and rework its structure through a refined soundscape of dreamy keys and atmospheric textures. With over 22 million streams across all platforms, the Scottish-born artist continues to defy all odds being visually impaired with Retinitis Pigmentosa. He strives to challenge himself by stepping into new production techniques, producing video game soundtracks, and being multi-dimensional with his genres, all while using his specialized keyboard and audible tools. Aether will celebrate ten years of making music this year with ‘Moonstone,’ introducing a newfound ambient soundscape to his discography.

Aether Bio
My name is Jason Taylor, I’m a visually impaired music producer and composer hailing from Scotland. I’ve been writing music under the moniker Aether since 2013. After graduating college with a higher national diploma in sound engineering, I started pursuing my career as a freelancer in the music industry.

Since then, I’ve worked on various successful musical projects ranging from popular electronic music to video game scores.
