TORONTO, ON – August 17, 2023 – Alternative trio, NOISY, today release new single, DANCEFLOOR, featuring, Charlotte Plank, taken from their upcoming mixtape, FAST FWD: to friday [Vol 1], out September 8 via Concord Records. Pre-save the EP here.

DANCEFLOOR is a euphoric track that details the hedonistic heights of the dance floor, the feeling of losing yourself in the music. Featuring the hotly tipped musician, Charlotte Plank, the track perfectly encapsulates the band’s dynamic sound as well as their ethos of creative freedom.

To celebrate the mixtape release, NOISY are set to host a launch party at the almighty Signature Brewery Brew Hall on September 8. Partygoers will be treated to an all-dayer of energy in the form of a live NOISY show that’ll feature a few special guests. Tickets on sale now here.

The band says about the single: “DANCEFLOOR is about being in a knot at a party when you feel like you can’t move from the sofa and trying to pull it together to continue the sesh. Sometimes all you need is for the perfect song to come on and you’re right back in it. Charlotte absolutely smashed it on this. We had made some music together previously for her project which was really exciting and then we played her this and knew she’d sound amazing on the chorus”.

Charlotte Plank says about the single: “I’m so gassed to be linking up with Noisy on this track, I’m a big fan of theirs as we share a lot of the same musical influences/DNA so it only made sense for us to work together! This came about earlier this year when the boys asked me to hop on the hook of this track they already had in the works. I loved the energy and excitement of the track and the way Cody’s verses about being disoriented/taking a bad turn on a night out contrast with the euphoric togetherness/feeling of the hook. That is almost like a warm hug bringing you back from the dodgy turn- giving you the power to soldier on and live the rest of the night to the full! We’re dropping it just in time to be able to perform it together at Reading and Leeds fest, so we’re gassed to have it out in the world and for everyone to get it round their ears before then!!”

NOISY have always fostered a sense of community and strived to bring people together. This led them to curate their Brighton club night, Fast FWD to Friday. A fusion of DJ sets and live performance, the FAST FWD mission statement is to spotlight and celebrate emerging artists within the alternative scene. FAST FWD: to friday [Vol 1] mixtape is an extension of this - a body of authentic collaborations, many of which stemmed from simple DM exchanges and showing appreciation for one another's work.

Alongside a jam-packed summer of festivals, NOISY will be returning to the BBC Radio 1 Dance Stage at this year’s Reading & Leeds Festival (Friday Reading, Saturday Leeds) for what is set to be an unforgettable set. The band have already played knock-out shows this summer at Prague’s Metronome, The Great Escape and 2000 Trees and NASS Festival.

This self-sufficient, DIY mindset is one of the driving forces of NOISY (comprised of singer Cody, guitarist Connor and producer Spencer), who pride themselves on owning creative control, writing, recording and producing all of their music, designing their own merch and often shooting their own music videos.

It’s been all gas no breaks for as long as the band can remember. The past few years alone, they’ve had D&B legend High Contrast remix their single 24/7, opened for Mike Skinner, enjoyed a UK headline tour which came to London for a sold-out XOYO show and previous collaborations with the likes of The Prototypes, 1991 and Zero.

If NOISY’s ambitions are no-holds-barred, then they perfectly match up to the euphoric maximalist blend of dance, drum’n’bass, jungle and electro sounds they’ve celebrated for creating.
