TORONTO, ON – January 28, 2022 – Reggaeton megastar, Nicky Jam, released his most recent song, Ojos Rojos. The new project was released under Sony Music Latin and La Industria, Inc, and produced by The Panda Bear Show & Willy Rodríguez. In the song, Nicky is singing to a girl who’s in a bad relationship, where she’s constantly crying left with red eyes and he wants her to end it.
The video was directed by Willy Rodríguez and filmed in Madrid, Spain last year. The production is like a work of art where we see Nicky singing in a museum-like mansion to the woman he wants and trying to convince her to leave that bad relationship. Fans will also see different artistic scenes like Nicky Jam in flames and a sculpture bleeding out.
Ojos Rojos also made its broadcast premiere on MTV Live, MTVU, MTV Latin America and on the ViacomCBS Times Square billboard in New York City.
The new project comes after the release of his video, Celosa, which was released last year in October and has over 1 million views on YouTube. He also released the video, Magnum, with Jhay Cortez in August and that has over 8 million views on YouTube. In July, he dropped the video, Miami, which has 9 million views on YouTube.
Last year Nicky Jam dropped his album, Infinity, which featured many hits including the song, Fan de Tus Fotos, alongside Romeo Santos. The song was produced by Sky Rompiendo and marked his second time collaborating with Santos, and the video was filmed in Miami. In the video, which has over 68 million views on YouTube, the duo finds themselves daydreaming about their boss, who they think has been sending them mixed signals. "The director actually came up with the concept and it was fun to do," he told People CHICA. "I never get to see that side of Romeo, and also people aren't used to seeing me dressed up in a suit.”
He will be kicking off the 13-city tour Infinity tour next month in Boston, MA, and while he's not setting expectations for his shows, Nicky Jam ensures that his fans will have a good time.
“I never like to set expectations going into a tour because I just want to have fun, do what I love, and have people enjoy along with me. I perform for my people. I think the fans will feel good and reminisce on so many songs that they love from my previous albums but also experience the new version of me and music to go along with it,” he shared with Ocean Drive Magazine.
