L.S. DUNES SET TO JOIN PIERCE THE VEIL ON THE 18-DATE

JAWS OF LIFE TOUR NOVEMBER 4 TO DECEMBER 8

TORONTO, ON – October 13, 2023 – Last year, L.S. Dunes (vocalist Anthony Green, guitarist Frank Iero, bassist Tim Payne, guitarist Travis Stever, and drummer Tucker Rule) released their debut album, Past Lives – a boundary pushing synthesis of post-hardcore and punk that became one of 2022’s most acclaimed hard rock albums.

To celebrate Past Lives’ first anniversary, L.S. Dunes will release Lost Songs: Lines and Shapes, on November 10 via Fantasy Records. Raw and radically revealing, Lost Songs: Lines and Shapes features early, stripped-down versions of all Past Lives’ 11 tracks. Listening to these songs in their hyper-intense, original form provides a new, completely fresh view into Past Lives, while the uninitiated will appreciate it for what it is, a sterling artistic statement in its own right. Pre-order Lost Songs: Lines and Shapes here. Fans can also pre-order the Past Lives Deluxe Edition, a limited, 2-LP vinyl special package which includes both the original album and Lost Songs: Lines And Shapes, exclusively via the band’s online store here.

Today, L.S. Dunes also shared the new album’s first single, Permanent Rebellion (Demo). Anthony Green’s beautifully understated vocal reshapes track almost entirely, transforming it into something darker, but equally thrilling. Listen to and watch the visualizer for Permanent Rebellion (Demo) here.

Frank Iero on Lost Songs: Lines and Shapes: "Lines and Shapes, the newest L.S. Dunes release is the best way we know how to celebrate the one-year anniversary of our band’s debut full-length, Past Lives. This is the blueprint to how the album came to be. The spark of each song as we started this journey to each triumphant end. Lines and Shapes will take the listener down the same path we traveled as a band. Listen in on how we created together from afar. Sending digital breadcrumbs back and forth, building foundations for what was to come in the cloud, and then finally to those structures built in their definitive form. Lines and Shapes not only celebrates the anniversary of Past Lives, but also the craft of songwriting and the many dynamics of what it means to be in a band. It is something I wish I was able to experience for every record I ever loved and wondered how it came to be."

Lost Songs: Lines and Shapes was produced by L.S. Dunes and recorded separately across various bedrooms and garages during the pandemic. The arrangements, musical flourishes, and vocals have a looser feel and often contrast wildly from its successor, giving many of these tracks a different outlook and meaning altogether.  Three of the tracks are pure instrumentals including the psyche-rock workout, Blender, the grandiose and explosive, Bombsquad, and the dramatic, prog-rocker, Grifter. Similarly, the initial construction of Grey Veins, 2022, Past Lives, and Antibodies, highlight the band’s ultra-musicianship as the unvarnished sonics jump out and grab the listener by the throat.

Fresh from their recent return to Chicago’s RIOT FEST in mid-September and a summer headline tour that featured sold-out shows in New York and Los Angeles, L.S. Dunes will join Pierce The Veil on the 18-date Jaws of Life Tour, November 4 through December 8. Full itinerary below.
