EXPANDED DIGITAL LP INCLUDES COMPLETE LIVE PERFORMANCE OF CRITICALLY LAUDED ALBUM CAPTURED AT EASTWEST STUDIOS

AN EVENING WITH DAWES US HEADLINE TOUR
KICKS OFF MARCH 2, 2023

“Dawes have never sounded more musically sophisticated.” – Uncut

“Also not kidding around, as a whole, is Dawes, on the album where all the members finally get to let their freak-flag fly a little more, or as much on record as they have live. And an album that’s kinda about dystopianism kinda becomes a nice 46-minute tonic for it.” – Variety

“…Dawes are at their most accomplished yet; Taylor Goldsmith’s vocals are the most nuanced they have ever sounded…” – Louder Than War

"It's a whole new Dawes - listeners had better brace for impact." – Paste

“This is easily Dawes’ most musically adventurous album to date.” – Glide

"Dawes expand their horizons and deliver a complex and brilliant album for our times...repeated listens will reward you handsomely." – Americana UK

"The tracks on the new album are muscular, strong, and supported by their own artistry." - American Songwriter

TORONTO, ON – February 17, 2023 – Today, acclaimed LA-based rockers, Dawes, have released a deluxe edition of their critically heralded eighth studio album, Misadventures of Doomscroller. The expanded edition of the album, available now via all digital service providers, includes a complete live performance of the album, captured at EastWest Studios by producer Jonathan Wilson (Billy Strings, Angel Olsen, Father John Misty). Listen here.

“We spent a day in EastWest Studios in LA playing our record Misadventures Of Doomscroller in its entirety in front of a bunch of cameras,” recalls Taylor Goldsmith. “You might’ve seen the film on YouTube. Now we’re proud to announce that we’re finally releasing it as an album on DSPs. It was a marathon to get through all this material and committing to completely live takes all in one day.” He notes, with a laugh, “But it lent the performances a sense of urgency bordering on desperation. These live recordings feel like how these songs were meant to live. I hope you enjoy!”

The Misadventures of Doomscroller Tour will launch on March 2 at Birmingham, AL’s Iron City. From there, the tour will make its way across the country, including stops at storied venues such as Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, New York City’s Beacon Theatre, Chicago’s Thalia Hall, and San Francisco’s The Fillmore before wrapping up with a hometown show at Los Angeles’ The Theatre at Ace Hotel on May 5. A full list of shows is below.

As the band explains, each show comprises “2 sets. Just us. Long nights. Full hearts. Come early. We’ll all have to break out the catalogue master lists and bingo cards as we try to get to every song we’ve got.” For complete details and ticket availability, please visit www.dawestheband.com/tour.
