THE PROJEKTOR TO RELEASE NEW EP ON FEBRUARY 16

EP IS THE FINAL PART IN SET OF THREE RELEASES

MUSIC VIDEO FOR SINGLE FAKE CASTLES
PREMIERES VIA LIVE IN LIMBO

Toronto, ON – January 17, 2018 –
Toronto-born bassist/singer/songwriter, Alex St. Kitts, has trekked around the world performing with Canadian and international acts alike, and is now delving into his own solo projects as The Projektor. St. Kitts is gearing up to release his Part iii EP – the final installment in a three-part set of releases, which will come together as a full-length album. Part i and ii are out now, and Part iii (plus the full record) will be available on February 16th. Watch the video for the new single, Fake Castles, which premiered on Live In Limbo today.

Fake Castles is about feeling alone even though you're in a crowd, and trying to break through the barriers we all build in our minds,” says Alex St. Kitts about the Fake Castles music video. “I wanted to reflect those ideas in the video, which is why the director (Victor   Oly) and myself decided to use masks, as well as the symbol of the all seeing eye. We wanted to build on the idea that you can hide from everybody else, but you can't hide from who you are. Eventually we need to break free and become who we are meant to be.

As a professional bassist, St. Kitts has had the opportunity to share the stage with the likes of k-os, Michelle Treacy, SATE, Tony Royster Jr., Jeremy Taggart (Our Lady Peace), Alyssa Reid, Adrian X (Drake), Digging Roots, JP Saxe, Slakah The Beatchild, Chloe Charles, and many more. He has performed at the American Music Awards with Pop-R&B artist, Francesco Yates, and alongside Ed Sheeran at the Much Music Video Awards.

This record is really personal for me... every song shares a big piece of myself,” says St. Kitts. “As a person of mixed ethnicity, I've struggled to find my identity within the social contracts we all play by everyday and I think I put a lot of that into this EP.  As an artist, I'm using it as a vehicle to drive home my thoughts on race, inclusivity and relationships in (and out) of love.”
