ON TOUR THROUGH THE SPRING INCLUDING TORONTO STOP NEXT WEEK AT THE HORSESHOE TAVERN

TORONTO, ON – March 11, 2022 – Today, Montreal rock ‘n roll disruptors, The Flamingos Pink, release Free Livin, the first single and title track from their upcoming album on LL Artists. Recorded in four days in Montreal at Studio Latraque, the new album – set for release later this year – was mixed and engineered by David Laurendeau and produced by The Flamingos Pink. Have a listen to Free Livin here.

Thwarted at every turn over the last year, Julien “Julz” Corrado (drums) and Sacha Gubany (guitar/vocals) took control of their own destiny and fought through the impact of the pandemic, battled their former label and tried their hardest to not overindulge in drugs and alcohol, all while the pressures of not having a 9-to-5 paycheque piled up.

Surrendering to the chaos, The Flamingos Pink and their intrepid manager regained control of their own music and their own destiny. The result is Free Livin – the band’s hardest rocking, groove-laden record to date and an anthem to living your life the way you want to. Think Iggy Pop and The Stooges meets AC/DC, The White Stripes and The Black Keys.

“In this digital reality, it’s easy to get caught up in the fake surface level bullsh*t of it all and find a real, deep connection to anything it seems,” says Julz. “Free Livin is a verb. Much like love and self-respect, you have to fight to keep it alive.”

Adds Sacha: “Keep it real. Speak your truth. Face yourself. Take a breather. Light your ass on fire. It's nice to see you try.”

The Free Livin video is a nod to classic animation stylings, blending the nostalgic with the cutting-edge. The video is fast-paced and action-packed, like a mix of Masters of the Universe, Heavy Metal (the quintessential animated Rock film of all time) and Star Wars. Director, animator, illustrator and tattoo artist, Paul Cristo Williams – a Harley riding, Canadian expat based in Florence, Italy – produced the video. Have a look here.

The band is gearing up for their spring 2022 tour, starting with dates in Toronto and Montreal (see below for full details) and with more to be announced soon.

Stay tuned for more coming soon from The Flamingos Pink!
