ON TOUR ACROSS CANADA THROUGH

Toronto, ON – February 16, 2018 – Today, Shred Kelly releases their most ambitious project to date, with their fourth album, Archipelago (via DevilDuck Records). The band has also kicked off their cross-Canada tour, starting in Edmonton last night. See below for tour details and have a look at the brand new music video for the band’s second single off the album – Don’t Ever Look Back – which premiered last week on Canadian Musician. 

The video for Don’t Ever Look Back was produced and directed by Brett Conners and Brett Fester from The Light Factory in Calgary and is based on the play, Heterophobia, by Pam Rocker.

“Archipelago, is a cohesive collection of dreamy, yet explosively exciting songs dipped in themes of relationships and the world in the modern age,” says Sage McBride. “The song Don’t Ever Look Back explores the end of a relationship and the inability to see the other perspective when you're in the middle of it. The story for the video is a spin on our modern day where instead of heterosexual relationships being the norm, they are the outliers.”

The new album was produced by Howard Redekopp (The New Pornographers, Tegan and Sara), and Josh Rob Gwilliam (Cowpuncher, Michael Bernard Fitzgerald), as well as co-production by Colin Stewart (Yukon Blonde, Dan Mangan) on Don’t Ever Look Back.  The collaborative songwriting of Tim Newton, Sage McBride, Jordan Vlasschaert and Ty West pulled inspiration through individual experiences and musical influences. The result is a dynamic and cohesive collection of dreamy, yet explosively exciting songs dipped in themes of relationships and the world in the modern age. Using traditional instrumentation at the base of the songwriting, the album explodes into a symphony of sounds incorporating banjos, ukuleles, synthesizers, guitar hooks, harmonies and pulsing beats.
