SERENA RYDER AND PANDYAMONIUM MANAGEMENT LAUNCH NEW CO-WORK SPACE ARTHAUS

Toronto, ON – July 11, 219 – Multi-platinum singer songwriter, Serena Ryder and Pandyamonium Management proudly announce the launch of ArtHaus, a multi-purpose creative working space where professionals and artists in the industry can collaborate and connect. With a passion for art and community, ArtHaus aims to cultivate a working network of creatives.

“We moved into this building together in the west end of Toronto,” explains Ryder while chatting with the Globe and Mail. “To bring as many artists — painters, storytellers, musicians — into a space where they can create with people who’ve been doing it a long time that can give them short cuts around the bullshit. I can’t wait to see everybody flourish.”

The custom-built facility, located in Toronto, enables creatives of different mediums to exercise their craft. The versatile space, initially built as a recording studio, has been used to record podcasts, rehearse, shoot professional-level videos and photos, exhibit art, host meetings and seminars, and more.

To date, ArtHaus facilities have been used by producers and engineers (DNNY PHNTM, Mike Sonier, Matthew Angus, Matt Bailey, Will Crann), videographers and photographers (Mark Klassen, Anthony Menecola, Danny Williams), esteemed companies (Atlantic Records, Kingsway Music, Universal Music Canada, DM2 Management, The Field), influencers (Tynomi Banks, @OwenTheGriff),  visual artists (Leia Bryans, Raven Shields, Michelle Shook, Jessie Bloomfield), and recording artists (Lil Berete, Ria Mae, Nue, Ruby Waters, The Elwins, Basil Phoenix, Adrian Sutherland, Simon Ward of The Strumbellas, Brad Kilpatrick, The Trews, Sam Cash), including Serena Ryder herself. Ryder shot the video for Christmas Kisses, the title track of her critically acclaimed Christmas album, inside of ArtHaus. Rolling Stone listed the album as the Number 5 Best New Christmas Album of the Year.

With songwriting camps, recording sessions and other activations underway, ArtHaus is planning to host a special event of its own. ArtHaus will open its doors for the first time on September 12, 2019 (save the date) for an invite-only showcase, inviting the arts industry to experience artists within their network and explore the facility.

Toronto-based vocal powerhouse Serena Ryder is an artist adored by fans, peers and critics alike, in part due to her raw and earnest songwriting, and beautifully electric live performances. She has received numerous accolades, including six prestigious JUNO Awards, a MuchMusic Video Award for Best Rock Video for Stompa, and a Canadian Screen Award for Achievement in Music – Original Song.  Prior to her chart-smashing album, Harmony (2013), she also enjoyed success with previous releases, If Your Memory Serves You Well (2007), and Is it O.K. (2009), achieving Gold-selling status. In 2012, her single, Weak In The Knees also achieved Gold Certification.

Pandyamonium Management is stomping grounds to Sandy Pandya, the recent recipient of the 2019 MMF Honour Roll Award, which recognizes outstanding achievements and excellence in Canadian and international artist management. In 2018, she received the Brian Chater Industry Award presented by CIMA. Pandya paved her own lane in the Canadian music industry, cementing herself as a leader and advancing the careers of the artists she represents. Her passion for music and inability to accept the word “no” supported her affinity for championing underdogs, which afforded her a career spanning over 20 years and counting.
