Toronto, ON – August 14, 2019 – Rock The Rink is thrilled to announce that it will be partnering with The Brick and Beautyrest for the upcoming tour.

"The Brick is very excited to partner with Beautyrest and Rock The Rink,” exclaims Ken Thrasher, Senior Director of Marketing & Ecommerce, The Brick. “This was a natural extension of our relationship with Tessa Virtue as a Sleep Ambassador for The Brick. Just like all of us, these incredible athletes need the best sleep possible to perform their best on the ice. These are world class athletes, and we offer world class sleep solutions, so we thought it was a great fit.  We look forward to the kick off in October!”

In just under two months, Rock The Rink will kick off in Abbotsford, BC. Combining the highest level of on-ice superstar talent with an ever-evolving touring production, Rock The Rink delivers the highest value of family entertainment. Along with upgrades to lighting, video and interactive technology, live music will be introduced to the show, with featured special musical guest, Birds of Bellwoods.

The production will tour from coast-to-coast across Canada, plus a U.S. stop.  The cast will again feature Canadian greats, Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir, Patrick Chan, Kaetlyn Osmond and Elvis Stojko, and will bring world-renowned skating talent from Europe and the U.S., including Italian Olympic Medalist and World Champion, Carolina Kostner, Russian Olympic Gold Medalists and World Champions, Tatiana Volosozhar and Maxim Trankov, and Olympic Medalist and four time U.S. National Champion, Jeremy Abbott.

In each city, the all-star cast will also be joined by a local Special Olympics Canada athlete, who will perform a solo. Moir, Virtue and Chan are members of Special Olympics Canada’s Champions Network – a dedicated group of Canadian Olympians, professional athletes and celebrities who support and promote the movement and the transformative power of sport it brings to Canadian children, youth and adults with an intellectual disability. The trio were inspired to include Special Olympics athletes in Rock The Rink after attending the 2018 Special Olympics Canada National Awards Night – an annual event honouring athletes, coaches, volunteers and supporters from across the country.

Tickets are on sale now at rocktherink.com. The cross-country tour launches Saturday, October 5 in Abbotsford, BC and will hit over 30 cities before wrapping in St. John’s, NL.  The tour, which is presented by Round Room, is proud of its continued relationship with Bell Media as the official tour media sponsor.
