RACHEL BECK SHARES ENCHANTING NEW VIDEO FOR SINGLE HEARTS ON FIRE

VIDEO PREMIERES TODAY ON EXCLAIM.CA

EASTERN CANADIAN TOUR KICKS OFF TODAY IN MONTREAL

NEW SELF-TITLED ALBUM OUT NOW

Toronto, ON – July 18, 2018 – This spring, singer-songwriter, Rachel Beck, released her self-titled, debut solo album. Today, she embarks on an eastern Canadian tour, which will treat audiences in Quebec, Ontario, and the Maritimes (full details below), to captivating live performances of the new songs. To kick off the tour, Rachel has released a stunning new music video for her single, Hearts On Fire. Premiering today on Exclaim.ca, the video was created in collaboration with ECMA award-winning director, Jenna MacMillan, filmed in Rachel’s home-province, PEI, and features a cast of her friends and loved ones.

"At the heart of it, this song is about living in the moment,” comments Rachel. “Filming this video was such a rush, because my friends and I did exactly that. We leapt off a bridge into water that was 4°C (thank goodness for wetsuits!), ventured out to cliffs overlooking the ocean, and set off fireworks on the beach at sunset. In hindsight, it may not have been the best idea to shoot a summer video in early May, but the wildness of it added to the fun."

Hearts On Fire comes from Rachel’s first solo venture – her self-titled album, released in March of this year. The track follows the first single, Reckless Heart, which spent seven weeks on the CBC Music Top 20, peaking at #1. Produced and recorded by Daniel Ledwell at Echo Lake (Jenn Grant, David Myles, Fortunate Ones), the album features additional percussion work and vocal harmonies by Amy Beck – Rachel’s sister, with whom Rachel spent four years recording and touring as The Beck Sisters (2013 CBC Searchlight finalists).

Rachel’s hook-driven, emotive piano pop melodies captivate. And whether you see her live, hear her on the radio, or press play on one of her songs, the experience is just as impactful: you are not only brought under her vocal spell, but are an instant fan.

“Here's the voice we need on those days when nothing's right and everything sucks and people are lousy.  Rachel Beck's compassion and heart shine through each song, a little musical healing for us all.  Gentle, made mostly from piano, strings and voice, the power's in the humanity and understanding she puts in her songs.”  – Bob Mersereau, Top 100 Canadian
