Toronto, ON – May 17, 2018 – American rock titans, Pop Evil, have debuted a stunning new music video for their track, A Crime To Remember. Directed by Columbia Tatone, who also directed the band’s last two videos, Waking Lions and Colors Bleed, this is now the third music video installment we’ve seen from the band’s most recent self-titled LP.

The video beautifully defines the core message of the song, which is clear and present in the song’s triumphant background vocals: “Are we divided / Are we united?” - also a constant theme throughout the new LP.

Vocalist, Leigh Kakaty, comments, “Columbia has delivered what we feel is the most powerful video to date for Pop Evil. The concept keeps an open book storyline on how human beings view the world at the moment. Our hope is to raise awareness that it’s time for all of us to come together and be united.”

The video is also in memory of late producer Kato Khandwala who was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident last month in Los Angeles. Kato had produced countless rock albums, including the most recent Pop Evil LP. Kakaty continues, “It’s been a long few weeks for us, we are still grieving the loss of Kato who was an incredible talent and an amazing human being. His daughter Paris is in need of help since his passing, donations can be made to her here.”

Just two months ago, Pop Evil’s single, Waking Lions, landed at #1 on the Mediabase Active Rock airplay chart. Waking Lions reached #1 after 20 weeks on the chart and is in the position of being one of the most spun songs at Rock Radio in 2018. Waking Lions is the band's fifth #1 single with the previous four being Footsteps, (2015) Torn to Pieces, (2014) Deal With the Devil, (2013) and Trenches, (2013).

Starting tomorrow, Pop Evil will return to North American amphitheaters in full force supporting two legendary acts, Poison and Cheap Trick on the Poison…Nothin’ But A Good Time 2018 tour. The band will make Canadian stops in Ontario, with a show in Toronto on June 19, followed by London on July 14 for Rock The Park. POP EVIL:  Leigh Kakaty (vocals), Dave Grahs (rhythm guitar, backing vocals), Nick Fuelling (lead guitar, backing vocals), Matt DiRito (bass, backing vocals), Hayley Cramer (drums) released their fifth self-titled album February 16 on Entertainment One. Produced by Kato Khandwala, POP EVIL captures Kakaty and his bandmates at their most inspiring. 

Every song on the album offers a different spin on the concept behind the band’s name and in an era when many rock bands create a few strong singles, and six or seven less memorable songs and call it an album. POP EVIL is all killer, no filler – the best 11 songs culled from 30 demos. 

It’s a surging, contemporary sounding release that incorporates metal, alternative, hard rock and even some electronic music. In the wake of the band’s peppy, upbeat 2015 album, UP, which debuted #1 on the Independent Artist Billboard Album Chart, it went on to produce their biggest single to date, Footsteps. It’s a wake-up call, a musical rebirth that inspired the band to self-title the release, partially since they’d never done so.
