MT. JOY SELF-TITLED DEBUT ALBUM OUT TODAY

ON TOUR WITH CANADIAN STOPS IN VANCOUVER, TORONTO, AND HAMILTON

“Your new folk-rock heroes…on ‘Silver Lining’ they sing about friends they’ve lost to addiction and still kick a chorus that could raise the roof of a hockey arena.” – Rolling Stone

“Amiable and soaring…ambles along with a welcome mix of knockabout likability and roof-raising grandeur.” – NPR Music

“Standout tracks like the politically attuned ‘Sheep’ have a homespun feel, while Quinn’s mellifluous vocals lace them with a hint of soul” – Yahoo Music

“Feel good indie-folk music that’s also socially poignant…interesting and beautifully thought out pieces of music that have connected with fans all over.” - HuffPost

Toronto, ON – March 2, 2018 – Today, Mt. Joy’s “amiable & soaring” (NPR Music) debut album, Mt. Joy, is out on Dualtone, an Entertainment One company. Deemed, “your new folk-rock heroes” by Rolling Stone, and selected by NPR as one of their Slingshot Artists for 2018, Mt. Joy — produced by Jon Gilbert — stands among 2018’s boldest musical breakthroughs and a showcase for Matt Quinn’s intuitive, direct songwriting that tackles everything from the vicious cycles of addiction to political calls to action in a post-Trump world.

Watch Mt. Joy perform hit single, Silver Lining, which just broke the Top 20 on the Triple A Radio Charts, during their national television debut on CONAN last month, here.

The band are preparing for a busy spring as they embark on a headlining tour, which includes dates in LA and New York, as well as a jam-packed schedule at SXSW. They're set for highly anticipated appearances at Shaky Knees, BottleRock, Innings Festival and more.

In little more than a year as a band, the LA-via-Philadelphia band has racked up over 18 million streams on Spotify, toured with Neko Case, The Shins, Whitney, The Head And The Heart and The Lone Bellow, and performed at Newport Folk Festival, Bonnaroo, Made In America and Lollapalooza.
