Toronto, ON – November 25, 2019 – Today, Los Angeles-based alternative songsmith, Mondo Cozmo, (aka Josh Ostrander), released the second installment of his six-part radio show in partnership with Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum. On this episode, Ostrander dives into the story behind his single, Come On, shares a special rendition of the track by its co-writer - Semisonic frontman, Dan Wilson, and interviews his wife, musician AO. The show takes a humorous look into the world of Mondo Cozmo and preludes to the release of his sophomore album out next year on Last Gang Records. Listen via Libsyn, Spotify and Apple.
When composing Come On, Ostrander and Wilson found inspiration in the mood captured so perfectly by the laid back ‘90s alt-rock anthems that were so pivotal to that generation. As the track came together, an all-star line-up assembled to see it come to fruition including Peter Hayes (Black Rebel Motorcycle Club) on guitar, Sean Friday (Dead Sara) on drums, producer Lars Stalfors (Cold War Kids, Mars Volta) and mix engineer Spike Stent (Ed Sheeran. Muse). The emotionally-charged video for the song features actress Anna Faris and was directed by noted cinematographer and director Michael Barrett.
Mondo Cozmo is currently working on his forthcoming album, aided and abetted by friends and family, including producer Butch Vig, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Dan Wilson, Lars Stalfors and others.
