LITTLE COYOTE SHARES BRAND NEW SINGLE ELECTRIC

PREMIERES STUNNING MUSIC VIDEO
FOR THE TRACK

Toronto, ON – March 21, 2017 – Today, Toronto three-piece, Little Coyote, is thrilled to share the stunning music video for their brand new single, Electric. The video, which was filmed in Palm Springs, California, stars Little Coyote frontwoman, Teagan Johnston, who also edited and produced the video, along with cinematography by her mother. The Strombo Show shared the track exclusively on its March 19th broadcast, while the video premiered today on A Music Blog, Yea?.

“Electric is a song written about being in love and questioning your own human nature after watching a few too many Sci-Fi movies,” the band comments. “Teagan was lucky enough to make the trip down to California this winter to make the video for Electric with her Mom. If you look closely at 3:49 you can see a little coyote who decided to run in front of Teagan through the desert to make a cameo in the video.”

Combining classical piano, ethereal guitar, driving percussion and synth; band mates, Byron Patterson, Mike Poisson and Teagan Johnston, create an exciting space in music, marrying their vast influences of folk, alternative and progressive rock. Johnston began her career as a musician on the west coast of Canada, releasing her first EP, Winter’s Child, in November of 2013. Collaborating with local artists such as Aidan Knight and Steph Macpherson, the EP gained Johnston local praise and saw her go on to win the Youth Song of the Year Award at the 2014 Vancouver Island Music Awards.

Growing up a fan of groups such as Metric, Stars, and Broken Social Scene, Johnston relocated to Toronto, ON in 2014 where she formed Little Coyote. The group premiered their debut single, Delirium, in 2016, along with an accompanying video, followed by their next track, Annie’s Dead. Little Coyote is excited to be sharing their new music; continuing their pursuit in the driven and lively manner of a northern coyote.
