Toronto, ON – March 7, 2017 – On April 6thLemon Bucket Orkestra, Toronto’s own guerrilla-folk party-punks return to The Great Hall for their first show of the year to celebrate the eighth anniversary of Lemon Bucket Orkestra's inception with local fans. Known for their wild Balkan brass parties and inventive theatrical performances, this not-to-be-missed night will be the band's only local show until they release a new album in November 2017. They will be joining forces with Chicago's notorious Lowdown Brass Band, another in a string of prestigious brass bands from around the world, that Lemon Bucket Orkestra has become famous for introducing to their legions of Toronto fans. Tickets are available for purchase online, and at La Palette. See complete details below.

Voted Toronto’s Best Live Band by the readers of NOW Magazine, Lemon Bucket Orkestra have been wowing Toronto audiences for close to a decade, and have toured around the world, bringing their unstoppable and infectious musical mayhem to stages near and far. Their first hometown show of the year promises to be a blast for fans both old and new. With new repertoire to draw upon and a few months of winter doldrums to break out of, you can count on the Lemon Bucket Orkestra massive to leave it all on the dance floor for this performance. A couple of weeks after the show, the band will be heading to Europe to perform their immersive guerrilla-folk opera, Counting Sheep. It is an interactive retelling of the Ukraine’s 2014 Revolution of Dignity, that some of the band members literally lived through. The play will be taking them to Germany, UK, Finland, Australia, and the US before the end of this year.

This will be the Toronto debut of the horn driven tour de force that is Chicago’s Lowdown Brass Band. From street beat to metal and beyond, their unique high-energy style has been perfectly captured on their latest release, Lowdown Sounds, which features their version of the R&B classic, Everybody Loves the Sunshine, featuring soul legend himself, Roy Ayers, as special guest. Lowdown Brass Band breaks the barrier between audience and performer with their kinetic live shows, featuring dynamic rapper, Billa Camp.
