JASON BAJADA ANNOUNCES TORONTO TOUR DATE ON FEBRUARY 8th

SHARES LIVE PERFORMANCE VIDEO FOR JOJO

"His melodies and well-crafted lyrics provide listeners with plenty of room to storytelling, reflect, and meditate on, well ... love shit." – Lovinmalta.com

Toronto, ON – November 29, 2017 – Jason Bajada is on tour following the release of his latest album, Loveshit II (Blondie & The Backstabberz), and has announced a show in Toronto on February 8th at Burdock. For a taste of his live performance, have a look at the new live video for Jojo, filmed during Bajada’s performance at Pop Montreal’s, Live From The Ubisoft Rooftop, concert series this summer. Watch the video here and see the full list of tour dates at jasonbajada.net.

Loveshit II (Blondie & The Backstabberz) is Bajada’s seventh studio recording; a double album with two ‘sides’, reflecting all facets of his songwriting skills. Seductive mid-tempo jams that recall Morrissey (The Worst Year of My Life) and The Cure (Painkiller), mirror devastating acoustic ballads (You Had Me at ‘I’m gonna ruin your life’). Bajada wades through melancholy, without dragging us to rock bottom – navigating heartbreak with acute proficiency in sorrow.

Jason Bajada was named one of Montreal’s very best songwriters from the moment he stepped onto the music scene with his independent debut, Puer Dolor (2005). After a couple of self-produced releases, he signed to MapleMusic Recordings and released his critically acclaimed album, Loveshit, in 2009, winning music fans over from all around the world with a unique brand of luminous/warm melancholy musings. In 2013, Jason signed to the very prestigious Audiogram label in order to explore his previously unvisited French inspirations. Le résultat de mes bêtises (2013) was recorded at the legendary Studio Victor with members of Broken Social Scene, Patrick Watson, Karkwa & Kings of Leon and his follow-up, Volcano (2016), earned him a l’ADISQ nomination.
