TORONTO, ON – Tuesday, April 4, 2017 – The 2017 JUNO Awards in Ottawa was a weekend of celebration, with Indoor Recess management/publicity client, The Strumbellas, winning Single of the Year for their monster hit, Spirits; publicity client, A Tribe Called Red being awarded Producer of the Year; and publicity client, Grimes, taking home a Video of the Year nod for Kill vs Maim. The Strumbellas and A Tribe Called Red both captivated the audience at the live award show broadcast on Sunday, April 2, with stunning live performances. The weekend kicked off with performances by publicity clients, and Electronic Album of the Year nominees, Harrison, and Holy Fuck, at Ottawa’s legendary, Zaphod Beeblebrox.

“It was a whirlwind of a weekend and I couldn’t be more proud,” reflected Joanne Setterington, Founder of Indoor Recess. “The Strumbellas and A Tribe Called Red were a huge part of the weekend and kept us on our toes!  It was awesome to celebrate along with them and all of the nominees and folks from the industry.”

Indoor Recess goes west, signing Vernon, BC five-piece alt-rock band, //AMISTAD//,  for a worldwide management deal.

“I’ve been talking with these guys for a little while and feel ridiculously excited to be working with them,” commented Joanne. “They’re amazing songwriters, strong performers and all five of them are tremendously dedicated to this band. Hearing songs like Darkerside and Human made my ears perk up right away and as soon as I saw them live, I knew I wanted to manage them.”

The Artist Management / Public Relations hybrid company is pleased to announce that Amanda McCauley has become partner, after spearheading the PR side for the last year.

Aven Hoffarth, who joined the management team a year ago, brings her client, Long Range Hustle, to the roster. Check out the five-piece Toronto indie-rockers’ video for Paddle Away, and catch them live at Grace O’Malleys in Toronto on April 21st for CMW.

“Amanda McCauley has been an integral part of this company for the past seven years,” says Joanne. “She was at the helm of the ship at Sunday’s red carpet at the JUNOs and taught me a thing or two! I’m grateful for and inspired by the leadership role she’s assumed on the PR side over the past year and I thoroughly enjoy talking strategy and planning with her. Aven Hoffarth lives and breathes management and is an absolute natural at it. I’m really honoured that she has brought Long Range Hustle into the family. We are a company of people that love what we do and take pride in the success our artists get to experience. I’m truly excited about the future!”
