Toronto, ON – May 8, 2018 – Today, I'm With Her, the band of Sara Watkins, Sarah Jarosz, and Aoife O'Donovan, release the video for their new single, I-89. The video, which was directed by Alex Chaloff, can be viewed here: I-89 Video.

“Our friend Alex Chaloff shot this video over the course of two days on tour in Colorado,” says I’m With Her. “I-89 originated on our journey up to Vermont to write the songs on See You Around. We were in a flimsy rental car weighed down with groceries from the Brattleboro Food Coop and decided to let Google Maps take us the back way on dirt roads in the frigid December weather.

We wound up stalling out, facing backwards downhill on a dark, icy road thinking the end was near. Then a mountain man drove over the hill, saw us in our predicament, and proceeded to help us turn around and lead us back to the highway, I-89. And the song was born...”

I-89 quickly emerged as a fan favorite along the band’s spring tour of the US. NPR Music’s Jewly Hight pronounced it “a wily declaration of self-preservation and wanderlust, “ and KCRW spotlighted it on their “Today’s Top Tune” podcast.

I’m With Her is currently in the midst of their European tour in support of See You Around. Over the past week, they played sold-out shows in Paris, Copenhagen, Stockholm, and Berlin. They will kick off their summer tour with several very special appearances at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival, where they first came together in 2014. More dates will be announced in the coming weeks.
