HARRISON TEAMS UP WITH TOBi FOR SHINY NEW SINGLE OUTTA THIS WORLD

TORONTO, ON – March 10, 2022 – Toronto producer and musical polymath, Harrison, emerges from the studio to share Outta This World - a fitting title for this collaborative song with Juno Award-winning and fellow Toronto artist, TOBi - out today via Last Gang Records/MNRK Music Group. A groovy, alluring production, the track lives up to its name, grounded by Harrison's signature keys blended with TOBi's soulful chorus and verse reflecting on nostalgic moments and hints of romance with a melody that keeps those memories close. It arrives with an incredible Jack Harrison-produced animated visual of Harrison and TOBi venturing on a journey "outta this world" to cook up the track in perfect camaraderie. “As soon as I finished this joint, I immediately thought of TOBi," says Harrison. "I knew he would deliver and he did. He floated on it. Always happy to be collaborating with him.”

On the collaboration, TOBi adds: "Since Harrison and I did 'Beige' a couple years ago, we’d been trying to get another joint in. A lot has happened in those few years, good and bad, so I wanted to capture that in the song on our second go around. Growth, friendship, moving through the music world, increasing my love for art, culture and of course pretty girls. The beat Harrison sent felt like I was right at home with the jazzy melody and the smooth drums. This time I’m making sure that I celebrate every moment."

The accompanying animated video was produced by Jack Harrison, who has worked with Keys N Krates, The Kount and Jay Feelbender, amongst others. The artwork was illustrated by Elijah Anderson and designed by Jeremy White.

While Harrison has been known to create an array of catchy instrumentals and innovative beats to working with internationally-recognized trailblazers in the music industry, Outta This World marks a new team effort since previous single with TOBi, Beige, and first official release since his 2018 project, Apricity, as a sample from a forthcoming album to be released later this year.

Harrison is a JUNO, Polaris, UK MVA + Prism Prize nominated artist with a combined 1.1M + global streams on his recent instrumental singles, Around You and Like When We Were Kids. In addition to TOBi, he has production and writing credits for tracks by DijahSB, Sean Leon, Steve Aoki, numerous syncs with Apple, Nestle, Absolut Vodka, Netflix, Pokémon GO.

Harrison developed an aesthetic signature influenced by Samurai Champloo, J Dilla, Nujabes, Nintendo and Parliament that was first floated on the 2013 Analogue Dreams EP and refined by the arrival of his critically-acclaimed 2016 JUNO-nominated debut album, Checkpoint Titanium, which followed his signing to Last Gang Records after a brief stint in college. Graduating from sample-based production to full-fledged composition and instrumental arrangement in subsequent years, Harrison returned with Apricity, which FADER dubbed “his best album yet,” while KEXP applauded “a vibrant record that places him nicely alongside Ryan Hemsworth, Sango, Kaytranada and Onra."
