FLOGGING MOLLY’S NEW ALBUM LIFE IS GOOD OUT NOW

Toronto, ON – June 5th, 2017 – “With its Irish frontman and its use of instruments like tin whistle alongside loud guitars, L.A.-based Flogging Molly is probably one of the most powerful Celtic punk bands there is, and its sixth studio full length—its first one in six years—proves they can still blaze.” That’s what the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel wrote about the new Flogging Molly album,  LIFE IS GOOD, which is out now via Vanguard Records, and available on iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, PledgeMusic and FloggingMolly.com.  Limited edition coloured vinyl is available at independent music retailers.  Click here for a list of local record stores.

Produced by Grammy Award-winning Joe Chiccarelli (U2, White Stripes, Beck) and recorded in Ireland, LIFE IS GOOD is a strikingly powerful album filled with rousing songs that are timeless in their sentiment. Over the course of the past several weeks, the band has been previewing select tracks from the album, teaming with Brooklyn Vegan for the premiere of Welcome To Adamstown, Billboard for the debut of The Guns of Jericho, and Consequence of Sound for The Days We’ve Yet To Meet. They also released Reptiles (We Woke Up) (click here to watch the lyric video) and The Hand of John L. Sullivan (lyric video here).

The band played an album release show at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago on Friday, June 2nd, and wrapped the North American leg of their international headlining tour at The Fillmore in Detroit on Saturday, June 3rd, which included a Canadian run with shows in Vancouver, Montreal and Toronto.  Flogging Molly made one final stop at the Bunbury Music Festival on Sunday, June 4th, before headlining overseas. See below for complete tour itinerary.

Founded in Los Angeles, Flogging Molly has long been hailed for their compelling lyrics of exile, rebellion, history and struggle told through exuberant anthems with a fierce blend of raucous punk/rock and traditional Irish music.  LIFE IS GOOD is the band’s first studio album in six years, following 2011’s highly acclaimed Speed of Darkness, which reached #9 on Billboard’s Top 200.
