Toronto, ON – April 24, 2020 – After spending much of 2019 joining forces with Nigerian superstar, Burna Boy, on their collaborative EP, Steel & Copper, and the Grammy-nominated, African Giant, DJDS return today with a new EP of their own – No Trust / Feel Nice. Listen here and stay tuned for more from DJDS coming soon.

The A-side, No Trust, features two breathtaking vocal performances from singer/songwriter, Bibi Bourelly (Rihanna's Bitch Better Have My Money and Higher) and rising R&B singer, Kiah Victoria. Built around Bibi's standout soul on the hook, "you don't express yourself, you don't got no trust," the track as a whole brims with energy and emotion, evolving from heartbreaking intimacy to communal catharsis in only the way truly great dance music can.

Track two, No Trust (Projexx Version) features the rising Jamaican artist, Projexx, telling his own story around the song’s framework. Reminiscent of a young Popcaan, his silky tenor glides effortlessly around the production, weaving in tales of young love and betrayal in Kingston City.

The EP's B-Side, Feel Nice, features Artikal – another rising Jamaican artist who DJDS worked with during their recent trip to Kingston. Over hypnotic production – sounding somewhere between Arthur Russel and Tony Kelly – Artikal delivers a jubilant and gravely performance highlighting the joys of hitting the club with friends. Embodying what they do best here, DJDS deftly pull musical references from the seemingly disparate to create an entirely unique feeling.

DJDS is the GRAMMY-nominated production duo of Sam Griesemer and Jerome Potter. Their most recent album – 2018's, Big Wave More Fire saw them applying the lessons learned from their extensive work on Kanye West's, The Life of Pablo. The artistic growth on BWMF was immediately apparent, as was their ability to yield inspired performances from its collaborators, which included Khalid, Charlie Wilson, Empress Of, The-Dream, Amber Mark and more.

Opportunities borne from the success of Big Wave More Fire ushered in a new chapter for DJDS. Between producing platinum songs for Khalid and experimental R&B with Dijon and 6lack, they formed their strongest creative bond with the global superstar, Burna Boy. After working on his album, African Giant, and their collaborative EP, Steel & Copper, DJDS left LA for Jamaica, and set up shop in a Kingston studio to work with some of the city's most talented rising artists. Successfully walking between these different musical worlds is DJDS at their core. Their list of collaborators and achievements grow but the emotion and soul in their work stays firmly in place.
