Toronto, ON – February 12, 2021 – Today, Vancouver, BC-based trio, daysormay, take a look at the past with a track written for their future. This arrives as Everything Is Changing, a reflective tune and visual created in the band’s signature DIY style. While the song’s writing process began during a camping trip post high school grad, the visual brings their journey full circle. With plans to film in Osoyoos, BC – Canada’s only official desert – pandemic protocols acted as inspiration to pivot, rather than prohibit, leading daysormay to return to where it all began in their hometown of Vernon, sourcing a setting that fit the direction, with some adventure along the way. “We shot it in our hometown of Vernon, BC. I grew up seeing those mountains and valleys everyday, and I’m really stoked that we got them into the video. I love the scenery there.” says lead vocalist, Aidan Andrews, on the experience.

Everything Is Changing was entirely written, produced and mixed by daysormay. Lead vocalist, Aidan Andrews, and Drummer, Carson Bassett, began strumming the song’s chords on a ukulele when they were on a camping trip in 2017, a month after the group graduated high school. The band revisited the track in 2019, preserving the feeling they put into it during its initial stages, with elements from the first demo in the final version you are listening to now. For the video, the band reunited with Christian Lai, who filmed the Role Model (featuring Tessa Violet) music video, with support from Titouan Fournier.

Everything Is Changing follows daysormay’s powerful and emotive track, Holding My Tongueand summer 2020 songs, Role Model featuring Tessa Violet, and RunningThe track made waves upon arrival last week, with playlist features on Spotify’s The New Alt, Fresh Finds: Pop, It’s ALT Good, Amazon Music’s Finely Tuned, Breakthrough Canada, Fresh Alternative, Best of What’s New and Breakthrough Alternative, and Apple’s New Music Daily. American Pancake noted “the musical and emotional dynamism inherent in their sound suggests a thoughtfulness in their approach,” while Le Future Wave praised, stunning vocals floating around a modern pop production that’s catchy and full of character.”
