“The sound of daysormay has already been compared to that of The Verve or Cage The Elephant… this could well be the discovery of 2018” – BAM Music Festival, The Netherlands

Toronto, ON – November 9, 2018 – daysormay
have been captivating listeners across the globe in Europe, America, Canada and the UK with their epic sounds and impressive songwriting chops since the release of their debut EP, Talk Peace To A Wolf. Today, the group gives fans a first taste of new music, with a video for their brand-new track, Role Model. Premiering with Indie88, the video release helps kick off a run of Canadian tour dates that will take the band from Ontario to BC, with stops in Quebec and Alberta in between (full details below). Watch the video here and pre-save Role Model (available November 16th) here.

“Role Model had been this chorus idea floating around since August 2016,” the band reflects. “It went through so many different styles and phases that we were starting to wonder if we would ever get it right. It had been so long since we last put out music, a lot had happened to this band and we were terrified of coming back without doing it right. It feels really good to write this now, we're ready for the next step and we hope you are too.”

Of the video, they explain, Role Model was shot in the back of our van that we've been touring in for the past couple years. We don't have a trailer so we have to cram all our gear in between the seats and at our feet when we tour, and someone wondered out loud if we could set up and play a show in the van. We filed that away as a possible music video idea. Then, when we were unloading at the venue later that day, this guy from another band joked about how you could probably shoot a great music video playing in the back of a van. That confirmed it for us.”

If you had the unicorn opportunity to see daysormay perform when they started back six years ago, you would have known even then that they weren’t just fooling around. Unsatisfied to churn out simple three-minute rock standards, the alternative five-piece band from Vernon, BC – now 18 and 19 years old – continues to challenge their craft by hiking to new songwriting heights and attacking each new live show with a relentless energy of a band on the verge. Lead singer, Aidan Andrews, formed the band in 2010 with the twin brother rhythm section of Nolan and Carson Bassett. Rounding out the line-up are Eli Garlick on guitar and Craig Matterson on keyboards. All of them multi-instrumentalists, daysormay have been stunning audiences from their hometown, to some serious name-drop worthy shows in LA, NY, Toronto and The Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg, Germany.

Talk Peace To A Wolf is available now on Apple Music, Google Play and Spotify.
