Toronto, ON – September 30, 2019 – East Coast singer-songwriter, Dave Sampson, is gearing up for the release of his anticipated new album, All Types Of Ways. Set to drop this Friday (October 4), the album was produced by Grammy-nominated, Gordie Sampson (Keith Urban, Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert), at Nashville's Sound Emporium, and features six new tracks that dig deeper into Sampson’s abilities as one of Canada’s best up and coming songwriters, and perfectly showcase his heartfelt, genre-bending style. Today, Sampson shares the beautiful visual for the album’s driving, heartfelt single, Gets Me Through The Night. Have a look at the video, which premiered today on Exclaim.ca.
"This song is a straight up love song,” Sampson muses of the track, which was co-written with Sam Ellis and Dylan Guthro (Port Cities). “I think when I was writing it, I was just thinking about all the little things in a relationship that make it special. Things that only you and that other person know and share together."
Sampson writes heart-on-your-sleeve country/pop songs, delivered with a captivating and authentic voice that could blow down a brick house. His knack for crafting simple ear-worms and his high-energy shows have been winning him fans across North America. In 2016, his song, No Pressure, No Diamonds, was picked up by Canadian hip hop icon, Classified, and released as a single featuring rap legend, Snoop Dogg. The track landed on the Billboard charts and earned Sampson his first Gold-certified record. No stranger to collaboration, Sampson has continued to work with some of Canada’s top exports, such as Gordie Sampson, Donovan Woods and Neon Dreams.
Sampson will celebrate the release of All Types of Ways with a show on October 3 at Toronto’s Dakota Tavern, before hometown release shows on October 12 at Sydney’s Highland Arts Theatre, and October 19 at the Marquee Ballroom in Halifax. Full details can be found below.
