Toronto, ON – August 12, 2019 – Dave Sampson writes heart-on-your-sleeve folk/pop songs, delivered with a captivating and authentic voice that could blow down a brick house. His knack for crafting simple ear-worms and his high-energy shows have been winning him fans across North America.
Today, he is thrilled to announce the release of his anticipated new album, All Types Of Ways. The album was produced by Grammy-nominated, Gordie Sampson (Keith Urban, Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert), at Nashville's Sound Emporium. Set for release on October 4th, the record features six new tracks that dig deeper into Sampson’s abilities as one of Canada’s best up and coming songwriters, and perfectly showcase his heartfelt, genre-bending style. “This EP has been a long time coming and I feel so lucky to have my long-time friend and collaborator, Gordie Sampson, produce this in Nashville, TN,” reflects Dave Sampson. “I’ve never put out a project where I have felt so connected to the songs, there is a lot of blood sweat and tears in these songs and I can’t wait to share them with my listeners.”
In 2016, Sampson’s song, No Pressure, No Diamonds, was picked up by Canadian hip hop icon, Classified, and released as a single featuring rap legend, Snoop Dogg. The track landed on the Billboard charts and earned Sampson his first Gold-certified record. No stranger to collaboration, Sampson has continued to work with some of Canada’s top exports, such as Gordie Sampson, Donovan Woods and Neon Dreams.
Sampson is currently on tour in Canada through the rest of summer and into the fall. He will celebrate the release of All Types of Ways with a show on October 3rd at Toronto’s Dakota Tavern, before a hometown release show on October 19th at the Marquee Ballroom in Halifax.
