CAT CLYDE RELEASES NEW SINGLE ANYMORE

PREMIERES VIA CANADIAN MUSICIAN TODAY

ON TOUR NOW WITH J.S. ONDARA

PERFORMING AT TORONTO’S DRAKE HOTEL ON MARCH 26

Toronto, ON – March 8, 2019 –
Cat Clyde continues to make waves, as she prepares to launch a new album this year. Today, she releases her second single of 2019 – Anymore – premiering via Canadian Musician. Listen to the track here.

“We recorded this tune live off the floor, before the take I told the guitar player to play like everyone he ever knew was dead, and he nailed it,” Cat says of the production process.

Anymore follows  All The Black, a deep, soulful track, with a stunning video you can watch here.

Since the release of her 2017 debut album, Ivory Castanets, Cat has been on a roll. She wrapped tours supporting Paul Kelly and ZZ Ward across North America, shared the stage with Detroit’s renowned singer-songwriter, Rodriguez (of acclaimed documentary, Searching For Sugarman), rocked a sold-out tour in Europe with Shakey Graves, and her first headline run across Canada. Cat just wrapped a tour with Toronto band, Wild Rivers, stopping in Toronto, Hamilton, Montreal, Quebec City, Kingston and London. She hits the road with J.S. Ondara this month, and returns to Toronto on Tuesday, March 26 for a show at The Drake Hotel. See below for a complete list of dates.

Ivory Castanets was released via Cinematic Music Group on May 5, 2017. Highlight track, Chimes In The Night, premiered on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 Radio Show, as well as online via The FADER. The song follows her track, Mama Said, which was the first piece of music to quickly grow on streaming platforms to reach over 9 million streams, along with Like A Wave, The Meadow, and Move Along, which was featured as a Magnificent 7 track for its premiere on  CBC Radio 2's The Strombo Show. Check out Cat’s live performance of The Meadow at the Calgary Stampede City Sessions here.

Cat is making waves in the music scene with her unique sound, blending contemporary and classic elements and a vast array of influences. Her music peaked at 340.6K + monthly listeners on Spotify, with tracks featured on 96,000 Spotify playlists worldwide including: Fresh Folk, Spotify's Indie All Stars, Vintage Vibes, Women of Fresh Finds, Roots Rising, Relax & Unwind, Infinite Indie Folk, and Cool Hunting.

Cat Clyde is a new artist out of Stratford, ON. A fresh take on the classic sounds of yesteryear; breathing new life into the velvety vocal, tack-piano, slide-guitar-style that can instantly walk you through the swinging doors of a packed saloon. With influences ranging from Etta James to Janis Joplin to Lead Belly, hers is a mix that goes down smoother than a neat glass of mellow Kentucky bourbon. No longer do you need to reach for your trusty sifting pan and river boots to find gold. You just need to know one name.

Stay tuned for more from Cat in 2019 and be sure to catch her on tour this winter.
