Toronto, ON – October 20, 2020 – This year put a sudden halt to touring – particularly internationally – but with a boom in livestreamed performances, audiences across the globe have been able to see some of their favourite Canadian bands straight from their own homes. This week, BreakOut West has teamed up with Latin America’s Festival Cardinal, and Zandari Festa out of South Korea, to showcase performances from western Canadian artists.

An incredible group of bands and solo acts from the western provinces and territories will have the opportunity to perform for audiences across Latin America and South Korea this week, with the festivals’ livestreamed concerts running from October 23-25. See below for the Canadian lineups.

After the huge success of Glamrock’s free virtual festival in the beginning of June, where 20,000+ viewers per day enjoyed watching known artists and new talent, Festival Cardinal will feature seven artists from western Canada, in addition to acts from the USA, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Colombia, Panama, Ecuador, Peru, Chile, Brazil and Argentina. Festival Cardinal will stream on the following dates (all times CDT): Friday, October 23 at 7:00 p.m.; Saturday, October 24 at 5:00 p.m.; and Sunday, October 25 at 5:00 p.m. Audiences can tune in to watch live on Facebook. Learn more at Festival Cardinal’s website and Instagram page, and check out the featured artists on Spotify.

Zandari Festa is a three-day music festival and showcase held in various live music venues and other locations in the area around Hongik University in Seoul. Every year, it offers around 100 music acts from Korea and around the world, as well as music industry delegates representing festivals and labels. Moving online for the 2020 edition, Zandari will launch on Friday, October 23, with 46 hours of 30 Korean and 30 international showcases starting at 10:00am CDT and wrap on Sunday, October 25 at 8:00am CDT. The sets will be repeated three times throughout the festival to watch according to your time zone, and will close with an after party, live-streaming direct from Seoul music venue, Strange Fruit. Festival performances can be viewed for free here.
