BAND ON TOUR THROUGH THE SPRING

Toronto, ON – April 6, 2018 –  Toronto-based alt-rock outfit, Birds of Bellwoods, have wasted little time making an indelible mark on Canada’s musical landscape. The band has amassed an impressive pile of achievements and accolades in a few short years on the back of their boisterous blend of anthemic alternative, folk, and pop music. Today, they are re-releasing their single, Let You Go, via eOne Music Canada – the first track from their highly anticipated debut LP, Victoria, which is set to drop later this year. “Let You Go stemmed from a seven minute acoustic ballad called Neverland that I wrote towards the end of a relationship a while back,” states Stephen Joffe (lead vocals/mandolin). “As we started working it, we realized that the song didn’t want to sit back in tragedy, but rather lean forward into its own urgency. It was the first song we recorded for our upcoming album, Victoria, so we wanted to take that opportunity to show a different colour in our musical spectrum. Something a bit more indicative of the energy of our live shows.”

Much of the attention to come their way thus far has stemmed from the band’s energetic and engaging live performances. They’ve already crossed Canada and dipped into the U.S. for all kinds of dates, including a slew of high-profile Canadian music festivals, from CMW and NXNE to country juggernaut Boots & Hearts to the tastemaking haven of Osheaga. That’s in addition to packed shows supporting the likes of Arkells, Wintersleep, Virginia to Vegas and Scott Helman to name a few.

Like their growing swarm of followers, Birds of Bellwoods are excitedly awaiting the release of Victoria to hit the ground running. Armed with a compelling collection of songs, a killer live show, and a crack team in their corner – the band is set to capitalize on all of the buzz they’ve built thus far.
