HELIOSPECTRUM OUT NOW!

Toronto, ON – March 27th, 2017 – Canadian fans of Waterloo, ON-based metal band, AURAS, will have the chance to see them live, as they announce a new set of spring tour dates. AURAS is currently on tour alongside ERRA and PHINEHAS, and will rock Hamilton, Windsor, Ottawa, Quebec and London with Ohio metalcore outfit, Miss May I, and Montreal’s Obey The Brave for the Shadows Inside Canadian tour run through May. See below for a complete list of dates.

Last week, the band debuted an all new music video today for their track, Spiral, exclusively via ALTERNATIVE PRESS MAGAZINE“'Spiral' is rooted in a melodic theme, yet constantly flows in and out of sporadic aggression similar in nature to our previous releases,” says drummer, Nathan Bulla. The band collaborated with producer Ray Ligaya, and videographer Andrew Paiano for the project. It’s also the second video the band has released off their latest LP, Heliospectrum, that came out late last year. "The visualization reflects a struggle with the unknown and unusual, leaving those conflicted with a sense of delusional hopelessness towards an ideal resolve."

Heliospectrum was released on September 30th, 2016 via Entertainment One Music (eOne) / Good Fight Music. Heliospectrum is the first full-length offering from the Canadian upstarts, produced by Anthony Kalabretta (Stereos, Abandon All Ships), with engineering/editing by Cameron McLellan (Protest The Hero, Intervals).

AURAS consist of vocalist, Eric Almeida, guitarist/vocalist, Josh Ligaya, guitarist Aaron Hallman, and drummer, Nathan Bulla. They released Panacea, their debut 7-track EP, in January 2013 (just a few years after forming) and followed it with the track, Adverse Condition, demonstrating a boundary pushing attitude and bottom-heavy blast similar in mindset to TesseracT, Disperse and the band’s one-time tour mates, Ever Forthright.

In Spring 2015, AURAS dropped the 5-song Crestfallen EP, on Good Fight / eOne, which was produced and mixed by Jordan Valeriote (Silverstein, Neck Deep, Structures). It hit #1 on the iTunes Metal charts and was part of Spotify’s Best New Metal playlist.

There is no ending on the horizon for AURAS. Heavy metal has replicated, separated, and diversified since its inceptionAURAS take their place amongst the 7-string-axe-wielding poly-metric groove community, eager to shred the envelope further as they evolve, with only the very cosmos itself as the limit to their expanding sonic power.
