AUDIOTREE NORTH REVEALS LATEST LIVE VIDEO FEATURING TORONTO-BASED PONY
“The Audiotree North live session turns those sappy feelings
you once felt into a ‘wasted dream’” – Noisey
TORONTO, ON – May 2, 2018 – Audiotree North continues to unveil its pilot sessions, which include videos from PUP, Lido Pimienta, Begonia, Casper Skulls, PONY and Magic Giant. Today, the live performance by Canadian four-piece group, PONY, was released. The garage-pop band’s track Alone Tonight, was shot at Longboat Hall in Toronto, and premiered today on Noisey. Watch and share the video here.
“When we recorded this session, we were fresh off our first ever tour and the lyrics to this song couldn't be more relevant,” says PONY lead singer and guitar, Sam Bielanski. “I wrote this song a few years ago and it's still really important for me to prioritize being alone. I think I look at things a bit differently now though, I think I am much more aware of the space that I am also taking up in other people's lives. (especially being in a van or a tent with the same people for weeks at a time) No matter how much you may love someone it's always important to check yourself and be aware of how your actions are affecting them. Respect yourself and others and take care of yourself so you can take care of others.”
Self-described as “the band that would play on a high school roof at the end of a ‘90s teen movie,” PONY will join Ought, Casper Skulls, Begonia, and Pkew Pkew Pkew at Audiotree North's official showcase at Canadian Music Week on May 11th at the Horseshoe Tavern. In addition to the showcase, Audiotree North is partnering with the Canadian Trade Commissioner Service (TCS) to present a pre-event celebration, open exclusively to conference delegates. Attendees will also have an opportunity to meet members of Audiotree, Audiotree North and TCS.
Audiotree North like its original counterpart, Chicago-based Audiotree, proudly supports independent artists, and is a multi-faceted artist discovery platform through unparalleled live performance formats.
