Toronto, ON – August 9, 2019– Canadian Guatemalan breakout artist, Alx Veliz, is back with his new single, Boom Bye Bye, which follows the global success that his debut single, Dancing Kizomba had, dominating the viral charts and streaming platforms. The single brings his multicultural flavor to pop-urban music with a fresh take on Caribbean infused sounds combined with the singer's sultry voice. Boom Bye Bye is available on all streaming platforms starting today.
The song tells a story in which Alx dedicates the song to the girl who played him and his feelings leading him to finally saying Boom Bye Bye when he got tired of her games. After seeing that Alx goes on with his life at a more successful pace without her, the love interest regrets her actions and seeks him again with hopes of a reconciliation.
"Boom Bye By' is the perfect comeback song," expressed Veliz. "I think subconsciously I got my inspiration from the 90's teen romantic comedies. Boy falls in love with girl, girl overlooks boy, boy grows up, now girl wants boy, but it's too late. This song is dedicated to all those exes that overlooked us, mistreated us and/or didn't value our love, just to later realize a little too late that what they were looking for was in front of them the whole time."
Veliz's borderless sound reflects the upbringing that he had in his multi-cultural home( Guatemalan and Jamaican) in Toronto, Canada and draws influences from Samba and Salsa to Reggae and Pop with the smooth rhythms that immediately make you want to get up on the dance floor, distinguish Alx from other artists in the genre. The Canadian singer-songwriter is not only standing out with his music but also as a composer and producer, which has led him to sign a contract with Disney Publishing and has led him to compose songs for high-caliber artists such as Jorge Blanco and Alvaro Soler amongst others.
Alx Veliz continues to build his crossover story that continues contributing to bridging the culture gap between Latin music and Urban-Pop music. Up next, Alx will make his way into the US for promotion in support of Boom Bye Bye.
