NEW TRACK IS REIMAGINING OF KEITH SECOLA’S GROUP IS ON TOUR THROUGH THE SUMMER Toronto, ON – April 26, 2019 – Today, award-winning DJ collective, A Tribe Called Red, return with a new track – NDN Kars (Remix). The track is a reimagining of Keith Secola’s 1990s classic rock song, Indian Cars, and sees Tribe blending the singalong hooks of the community classic, with elements of traditional Pow Wow drums and variations of dance music. Once again, Tribe is delivering the kind of sound they are known and loved for. Listen to NDN Kars (Remix) here. “Keith Secola is a legend of NDN music and NDN Kars is a NDN country anthem,” says Tribe’s Bear Witness. “We made this remix for him, for the fans, the ones who know, the ones who just found out, for the Halluci Nation, for pow wow dancers, drummers, singers, goers, this is for the 49, for the ones who sang or rapped along and of course for all of you who drive a one eyed pow wow pony. ‘We don't get old we just get younger’.” Tribe’s latest album, We Are The Halluci Nation, was released in September 2016 to critical acclaim. The record earned the group a spot on the 2016 Polaris Music Prize Short List, a JUNO win at the 2017 Awards for Producer of the Year, and a 2018 JUNO Award for Group of the Year. We Are The Halluci Nation is a visionary blend of electronic and dance music that’s forward-thinking with a deep sense of heritage and cultural identity. A Tribe Called Red will be on tour through the summer, with Canadian stops in BC, Saskatchewan, and Ontario.
