A FELLOW SHIP TO RELEASE NEW EP THE BLACK SHEEP ON SEPTEMBER 30TH

TOURING EASTERN CANADA THIS SEPTEMBER
Toronto, ON – September 11, 2017 – Folk pop band, A Fellow Ship, has announced their latest EP, The Black Sheep, to be released on September 30th. The band will celebrate the release with a show in Toronto at The Horseshoe Tavern, which wraps up their fall tour. Stream the first single off the album, The Black Sheep.
Kicking off the tour in Ottawa on September 19th at Avant Garde Bar, the band will be sharing their new songs with audiences in Ontario, Quebec and on the East Coast. Full details on the tour can be found below.
“The Black Sheep EP is a true reflection of how far we've come as musicians, songwriters, and friends. It addresses many of the experiences that we have gone through over the last couple years,” says Joe Dent, lead vocalist and guitarist. “From lonely nights away from home, to lazy mornings with not a care in the world, it is a testimony to all the ups and downs that make life interesting.”
Recorded at Marquee Sound in Toronto, the record was produced by award winning producer, John Switzer. “He whipped us into shape while somehow still making us feel good about ourselves,” continues Dent.
A Fellow Ship is a 7-piece collective from Toronto. Their long time camaraderie and combined love for music and good company has evolved into a mighty clash of folk, pop, jazz, funk, and soul, leaving nothing but dancing in it’s wake. The band released their self-titled debut EP in June 2015, have a listen here. A Fellow Ship is Joe Dent (guitar, vocals), Forest Van Winkle (vocals), Jack Stone (mandolin, guitar, vocals), Teddy Liptay (keyboard), Tristan Schultz (bass), Ryan Johnston (drums), and Austin Jones (trumpet). Their latest EP also features John Nicholson (saxophone).
